Dr. Brandie with Dr. Larry Beem and Ali  ~  Dr. Beem is the chiropractor who changed Ali’s life, inspiring the birth of King of Prussia Family Wellness Center

Founded in 2003 by Drs. Arthur and Brandie Nemchenko, the story of King of Prussia Family Wellness is a personal one.  After experiencing successful treatment through their own family’s chiropractic care, they’ve made it their life’s work to help others facing pain and frustration and not getting answers.

Chiropractic is a family affair for the Nemchenkos, with two successful chiropractic clinics, under one roof…King of Prussia Family Wellness and Bloom at King of Prussia Family Wellness.

Dr. Brandie recounts their story in her own words…

“Originally, my husband Arthur and I had no intentions of being chiropractors. We met at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lancaster where Arthur worked in the ICU – he is actually a former medical doctor from the Soviet Union – and I was a paramedic working in the Emergency Department. We were both happy working as medical personnel but things changed after we had our daughter, Ali.

In 1999, Ali was only a year old when she twisted and broke her leg while dancing on a hardwood floor.  After her cast finally came off she had a severe limp and people often asked us why she walked like a duck.  We went to 3 different specialists and the only solution they could come up with was to wait until she was 4 years old and they would re-break her leg or keep her in a brace. I was devastated because I feared it was permanent.

Someone asked me after a few months if I had ever thought of taking her to a chiropractor.  I told them they were nuts – what did a chiropractor have to do with a broken leg? But at that point, we were desperate. Arthur and I agreed to go in and just listen to the doctor – but he wasn’t going to touch her.

Upon meeting the doctor, Ali took to him right away. He showed us how one of her legs appeared longer than the other and that it was caused by the weight of her hip cast which had caused her pelvis to misalign. This misalignment of her pelvis made her leg appear short due to spasm in the surrounding muscles. It seemed logical so we consented to treatment at the visit.

After he gently adjusted Ali, she giggled and then got up and walked like nothing had happened, without any sign of a limp. We were thrilled and relieved.

On the way home we decided that this was what we wanted to do – so we both went back to school and became doctors of chiropractic.

After completing our studies at the Cleveland Chiropractic College in Kansas City, MO, we returned to Pennsylvania and began practicing, starting at offices at area gyms.  We opened our own practice, King of Prussia Family Wellness Center, in May of 2003, on Ali’s 5th birthday.

I approach my patients the same way I would treat a family member because we understand how frustrating it is to be in pain and not get answers.  The benefit with consulting with us – is that we know what is ours (musculoskeletal) and what isn’t. We’ve seen it working the hospital.  If we can’t help you – we will literally make the calls to get you to someone who can.”

“It’s rare to find a practice where every doctor is kind, patient, and knowledgable. They work together as an efficient team and are great at what they do. I always feel better after my appointments and rarely have to wait, which is important to me coming on my lunch breaks.”  – Lauren S.

“I’m a fellow chiropractor in a different state. I had a patient come in recently who was pregnant and had back pain that I couldn’t resolve in the usual 3-6 visits that it usually takes me. I know that Dr. Brandie has a lot of experience with the care for expecting mothers and infants, so I gave her a call for her professional opinion. Right away, she honed in on the potential problem. She gave me some advice on how to alter my approach in treating the patient, and the patient’s problems went right away. I will continue to use her as a trusted adviser, and if you live in the King of Prussia area, you should do the same.” – Dr. Todd Lloyd

“Office staff is always helpful, friendly and professional. I have been a patient of Dr. Arthur Nemchenko for several years and really appreciate that he is always looking for the best methods to treat a problem — he incorporates massage and exercise therapy along with adjustments. As an athlete, I particularly appreciate that he treats me like an expert on my own body and listens carefully to my input and feedback.” – Maggi B.

“I started seeing Dr. Brandie when I was pregnant with my first child. I was desperate to find a chiropractor who was certified in prenatal chiropractic care as I was experiencing a lot of back, hip, neck and leg pain with my pregnancy. Dr. Brandie did not disappoint me, she and her staff made my pregnancy so much more comfortable and enjoyable through chiropractic care and therapeutic massage. I am now pregnant with my second child and see Dr. Brandie regularly, as does my 2 year old daughter. There is no one else I would trust for our chiropractic needs.” – Jennifer I.

“I am so grateful to Dr. Eric for helping me with my upper back, neck and shoulder issues. The adjustments have improved my overall functioning and comfort level. I appreciate his kind and caring nature. His is very thorough in addressing all areas of concern during our appointments. The office staff are so kind and friendly! I enjoy my visits. Thank you!”   – Amy M.

What To Expect

Whether you are looking to alleviate chronic wrist pain or to elevate your sports performance, King of Prussia Family Wellness has a customized solution for you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a typical treatment plan?

Treatment is personalized for each individual patient. During your first visit to King of Prussia Family Wellness, your new patient exam will include:

  • Chiropractic Consultation
  • Orthopedic and Neurological Examination
  • Foot Scan
  • Detailed Health history
  • Review of personal wellness goals

Based on this information, your doctor will recommend a customized treatment plan including the three phases of chiropractic care: pain relief, stabilization and maintenance.

How soon will I see results?

Your comfort and personal goals are at the center of your customized treatment plan. Generally, patients see results within two weeks. If no progress has been made during this time, we will refer you to one of our trusted specialists to address your needs. Our goal is to ease your pain and get you back to doing the activities that are important to you.

I feel better. Does that mean I am cured?

You have worked hard to follow your treatment plan but without continued care and maintenance, it is likely your pain will return.

Our Wellness Program allows you to retain your current alignment and flexibility of the spine so that it does not revert back to its original condition.

Preventative care saves time and money. Our Wellness Program helps to prevent a relapse in your condition. In this stage of chiropractic care, your doctor can identify small problems and correct them before they become bigger ones. Through this approach to wellness, you avoid beginning a full corrective care plan all over again.

Ask our staff about our Wellness Program. We have a variety of options, for individuals and families, to meet your needs.
